Alright, dropping the whole tory character for these newsletters, so there will be actual commentary and discussion in these things.
So! The pacifist section of the soundtrack has been complete. As much as many of my newer fans may see this as a common thing, this is actually a pretty big milestone for me.
Since my wee little beginnings in this community, I've always had this weird dream to make an UNDERSWAP take to full completion.
Although obviously this take isn't finished soundtrack wise, the fact I've made it past snowdin ALONE is a great feat for me. I shed a big giant teardrop knowing younger me would probably be jumping for joy if they saw us now, or just the take alone.
I'm eternally grateful for all the people who have stuck from the beginning of this take, you guys are awesome.
Well, I don't want to make any promises I can't keep, but the plans for the future of UNDERSWAP Is to possibly make a playable version of it.
I don't want to generate too much hype as it is still something i am considering, and if it IS playable, it'll just be a boss rush with a few cutscenes before each boss that gives context for the scenes.
The current "Team" for this playable version is just some friends of mine, and some people who have already worked with the coding language/software we intend on using.
Besides that, UNDERSWAP will be completed once the soundtrack is, And then we will reach the next milestone, which is the DELTARUNE equivalent.
...Whiiicchhh is the next section. so lets get this sorted out finally.
Let me tell you about my work process.
A lot gets lost in the process.
This is a MASSIVE reason why Sewnpuard fell, and why most projects also fall.
Here's what a normal au's process is like.
Here's what every sewnpuard versions process was like.
As you can see, NO WRITING EVER TOOK PRIORITY. I always did things on a whim and went with the flow and wrote as I went along, which clashed with MANY story elements. Although I believe going with the flow in some smaller story elements is completely okay, it is DETRIMENTAL to bigger plot points that are arguably very important.
All of this is just to say "Sewnpuard" is no longer a thing. It is a very bad loop of neglect on my side, and trying to continue the AU has been genuine hell. None of the past main characters will return. These include characters like Hana, Starlin, Gracey, Cree, Etc.
EVERYTHING is completely wiped, as I was trying to force UNDERSWAP elements into the au, and it ended up making the au very very messy.
...
However, this does not mean there isn't a "DELTARUNE" to UNDERSWAP'S "UNDERTALE".
I have been working very quietly in the background and slowly on this new au. And this au is very, very, VERY weird. It doesn't follow the ideal "Deltaswap", and doesn't even follow the anagram format that UNDERTALE and DELTARUNE have.
With that being said, Once underswap is over,
Will begin to take shape.
Logo is not final.Although all of this is very exciting to finally SAY instead of being quiet, The au is still very much so in it's EARLY stages. And alot of things may change.
Whenever it's ready, i'm sure people will come around to it. Plus, I think these two work well together design wise.
This next section is just smaller things and content to wrap up the newsletter.
Unlike when UNDERSWAP was started, I am in colleg now!
...
GOD.
This makes things INFINITELY HARDER! There are SO many essays I need to do since first year is super english and literature bomb! it's super hell! This makes making content WAY harder as i'm not dorming either. so I travel from home to school nearly everyday back and forth... Which leaves me napping for hours on end when I get home.
Yeah, so. This is all to say just be a little more patient with me and my content going forward! I will take longer times to work on songs and put more effort into them.
You can also just check out my content on my Main Account. It's where I post non-tory fox content, and do other hypothetical small au stuff.
Of course theres more than just UNDERSWAP that i'm working on. So i'll take the moment to shout them out!
Scratch Disk is a project by Mr. Luwigi, and is a deltaswap that acts as a "Post Scratch" of DELTARUNE. The protagonist is ASRIEL, following his best friend Dess and discovering dark worlds within their university.
Here's some of the track's I did!
Whenever you have the time, check out the Soundcloud Page.
...
Aaaaright, what's a Luwigi mention without me pouring my heart out, right?
ahem..
I seriously believe I would not be here today if it weren't for Luwigi. Years and years ago, when we first met, I was making very, very bad midislap music, and he (for some reason) wanted me on his very early DELTASWAP project. I agreed, and from then on, I've been composing for him and others and sharpening my skills in composing. I was actually going to quit music before I met him, which is something I don't actually think he knows, LOL. But he's pretty much the reason why I'm even standing here today making music still and providing content for you all to consume, so really, he's the one doing all the work.
I could go on and on about how much luwigi's work inspires me to create, but that would make this "section" into an "essay". But the short way of putting it is that he takes basic concepts (like a deltaswap) and pushes them to their limits and makes them insanely unique. His content is extremely underrated (In my humble opinion), and you should go support him.
Love you, Luwigi. Always. Thank you for being such an amazing friend to me.
Don't worry, I care about her alot too.
She's also VERY underrated, check out her content at @michibri_ on twitter.
That concludes the first UNDERSWAP / DARKHEART Newsletter, Whenever another big change or news happen, I'll write up another one of these for you all. These won't follow a pattern whatsoever, but its just a way to keep everyone informed about whats happening and all.
Oh, right, and because I know people will try this, There are no special pages beyond what you've seen. Or at least none that won't make sense for a while.
Happy 10th Anniversary UNDERSWAP.
That's all folks!
